Welcome Gathering
5–8 p.m.
New Mexico Museum of Art
Attire: Come as you are
We'll be gathering in the courtyard of the New Mexico Museum of Art, right next to the Plaza in the heart of downtown Santa Fe. Come by for beverages and snacks to kick off the wedding weekend!
Ceremony and Reception
4–10 p.m.
Bishop's Lodge
Attire: Black Tie Optional (Western flair encouraged)
Santa Fe's first Archbishop, Jean Baptiste Lamy, built an adobe chapel on these grounds in the 1860s. Come early to explore the grounds before the ceremony, and enjoy an evening of sunset vows, chile roasting, and mariachi.
Children are welcome at all other events, but the ceremony and reception are adults only.
Optional - drop in for whatever sounds fun!
Morning Hike: Tesuque Creek
11 a.m.
Tesuque Creek/Winsor Trailhead
Attire: Trail shoes and your favorite hat!
This trail is special to us - it's where Sara proposed! Lined with cottonwood trees and wildflowers, the Tesuque Creek/Winsor Trail is an out-and-back trail that starts right off Big Tesuque Canyon Road.
Evening Opera: Madama Butterfly
8 p.m.
Santa Fe Opera
Attire: Japonais Chic
Join us for the final performance of the opera season, Puccini's Madama Butterfly! Willis's grandparents Joan and Fred, masters of tradition, gathered the entire Hart family at the Santa Fe Opera every year, with dinner at Bishop's Lodge beforehand.
Madama Butterfly is a story of migration, love, and resilience, and was a favorite of Sara's grandmother or Nai Nai Betty. The Santa Fe Opera is one of the most renowned opera companies in the world—its stunning open-air amphitheater offers views of the sunset over the Jemez Mountains. We would love to close out the weekend together at this magical place!
